Aims

Our mission is to support people who have survived torture and human rights abuses to rebuild their lives in exile, through an integrated programme of therapeutic and casework assistance. We assist and we advocate. In the longer term we give a voice to the voiceless and work towards creating a world where Human Rights are respected and torture is a thing of the past.

Our core aims are as follows:

1) To enable people to heal from their traumatic experiences and restore meaning to their lives

2) To assist people in dealing with material challenges, navigating the asylum process and integrating into the UK

3) To raise awareness of the needs of refugees and asylum seekers who have survived torture and human rights abuses.

Donate to Dame and Mamadou who are running the British 10k on July 9 in support of Room to Heal! Mayville

Your money could fund a therapist to help members recover from severe trauma, help to pay for healing programmes such as the storytelling project, or cover travel expenses for members to get to a retreat. We also need general funds for staff wages and running costs such as office rental and telephone. Donations through JustGiving […]
